In 14 days and 13 nights, 7 volcanoes, very different, some in action!
Day 1
Arrival in Managua and transfer from the airport. Night in Granada in a 3-star character hotel.
Day 2
Visit the colonial city of Granada. Night at the 3-star hotel.
Day 3
Visit the Mombacho volcano and its rain forest, “El Puma” 3-hour circuit.
Transfer to the Asese port near Granada. Embark to the islets of Granada. Full board at the El Roble islet, "an island just for you", water activities and/or rest. Dip into the Spanish language with the local team. Night at 3-star Ecolodge.
Day 4
Day of adventure on the lake: ship to Zapatera, hike to Chorotega ancient ceremonial center. Swim in the Island of the Dead Man or Playa Blanca, visit the islets. Night at 3-star Ecolodge.
Day 5
Guided Tour of the “Pueblos Blancos” (white villages) and to the Apoyo volcanic crater, the lagoon’s 30 degrees temperature is ideal for swimming. Night at Apoyo in a guest house, right on the edge of the water and ... in the crater!
Day 6
Visit the active Masaya volcano and the beautiful eco-museum that describes the volcanism of the country, then head to Leon and visit the city. Night in a 2-star hotel.
Day 7
Climbing the Cerro Negro volcano with a park ranger in the morning, free afternoon in Leon. This volcano is the youngest of America and so it is still growing! Night at the hotel.
Day 8
Visit, along with a specialized guide, the volcanic hot springs of San Jacinto, then climb the active Telica volcano. Night in the hotel.
Day 9
Move to Las Penitas, in the Pacific. Kayaking or horseback riding options as well as hammocks. Night at a beach hotel.
Day 10
Transfer to the Ometepe island, visit the numismatic museum. Night on an unusual waterfront "cottage", overlooking ... the volcanoes of the island.
Day 11
Climb the active Concepción volcano (1610m). Night at the hotel.
Day 12
Climbing of the Maderas volcano (1394m) which path is drawn in the roots of the tropical rainforest, a lagoon fills the extinct crater. Petroglyphs circuit on the way back and night at the hostel.
Day 13
Walk through the forest in search of monkeys and parrots, swimming in a natural pool. Return to the mainland to finish in Granada. Night at the 3-star hotel like the first day.
Day 14
Transfer to Managua airport (arrival in Europe the day 15).
